When the one girl you love most in the world decides your relationship has run its course, it can be a really powerful blow to your entire way of life. Everything turns upside down and all you know for sure is that you have to get her back. The road to a reunion is never one hundred percent smooth, but if you follow this advice you'll find that it's a lot simpler than you may at first think. First step: go along with it. It'll hurt to give her up, but cooperating avoids the anger and desperation that can ruin your relationship forever. If you play your cards right, this time of her not being in your life will only be temporary...so don't jeopardize any chance of getting her back by pushing her further away. Don't act like she means nothing to you and you were considering leaving her yourself...but respect her decision and needs. It's far healthier than starting a fight. Next you'll have to do some serious self work. Relationships don't heal themselves, and this is all up to you. The only person you can trust to accomplish anything towards that goal of getting her back is yourself, so take matters into your own hands and do what it takes to get her back. Generally that means analyzing the relationship to figure out what went wrong, and fixing the problems that drove her away. Changing yourself is the hardest thing in the world to do, but she's certainly not going to change her needs or expectations of what she gets out of a relationship. If you want to be with her, you have to be able to make her feel like she's getting what she needs. For most women, this is attentiveness to her, consideration for her feelings, and feeling important and needed. All women require their own personal things to feel happy, but these are pretty basic and are fairly constant with all women. If you feel like the changes she needs from you are too drastic and too much of a sacrifice to be made, then you may have to ask yourself if you're right for each other after all. You need to accomodate what she needs, but no woman has the right to ask you to change into somebody else. If what's necessary for the relationship to work out is acceptable and reasonable to you, then do your best. If not, remember that there are billions of other women out there and that the odds are good that more than just one in the whole world will be able to make you happy. However, if you do decide to make the changes to yourself and your behaviors that will make your relationship run much smoother, you have to be careful not to let other things limit your chances of getting back together with her permanently. How you approach her after being separated can make a big difference, and it's important not to let go of the changes you've made after you two are back together. A relationship is never something to be careless with. I hope these words of advice have helped you make some sense of this rough time and come to a decisive choice of what you'd like to do.
