Microsoft produces and sells a range of music products that are digitally mastered. The brand name for such products is zune. There are several sorts of client software programs, the digitally run audio players, and so on. There is also the music house run on an online basis – the Zune Marketplace.

The wireless facility is available with these newer versions. Along with the wireless system were brought a range of other great services. For instance, there was a new kind of input device that runs on the touchpad-style technique. Extra support of file was in built in the system for the file types MPEG-4 and H.264. There was also support facility for the functioning of the podcasts. There was license for the song-sharing technique of upgraded version. The screen size (3.2’’) for the zune 80 too is quite commendable.

The first ever music players from the zune technology were the zune 30 players. The hard drive capacity was 30GB. The screen size was 3’’. For the task of menu navigation, there was a pad that was rather simple directional. The zune 80, 8, and the zune 4 form the next generation of the zune music players. In the zune 8 and the zune 4 versions one will find an additional flash memory of the capacity of respectively 8 and 4 GB. The zune 80 actually forms a great replacement for the earlier version, that is, the zune 30. This zune 80 is a lot thinner as well as lighter and is much more convenient to handle and carry. A highly sophisticated zune pad replaces the earlier pad that was simple directional. Several useful accessories such as the USB data cable, earphones, etc. are provided with along with the zune players.
